Wharton Elementary Principal
Kathy Noack has been an educator for over 28 years. She started her career teaching first grade in Tomball ISD and then moved to Round Rock ISD where she taught third grader. After a year of an administrative internship in a multi age school, she was hired as an assistant principal in Austin ISD. After 10 years as the assistant principal, she was hired as a principal at the same school. Under her leadership, the school earned exemplary ratings year after year.
Ms. Noack has been a principal in Hays CISD for the last 5 years. When she arrived at Pfluger ES, the school was scoring below district and state averages on standardized testing. After her first year, the school not only surpassed district and state averages, the school earned 3 Distinctions, the first ever in Hays CISD. In the last 2 years, the school has earned 4 Distinctions. These dramatic changes in the success of the school reflect her passionate belief in creating successful public schools regardless of a child's zip code. She believes with a relentless focus on high expectations of teachers and kids, students can succeed. Creating a collaborative culture and positive relationships with teachers, students, and parents is a top priority for her. With a servant leadership heart, she believes in creating an environment where teachers and students learn and grow to each their highest potential.
Mrs. Noack was sponsored by Raise Your Hand Texas to attend a summer graduate class on leadership in Harvard in 2019 and was a semifinalist for the HEB Principal of the Year in 2019. She helped the E3 Alliance review statewide literacy rubrics for effective leadership in literacy in 2020.
Mrs. Noack graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelors in Applied Learning and Development. She earned her masters of Educational Administration at the University of Texas at Austin.
Mrs. Noack has been happily married for 29 years to Chris Noack. Chris owns an architecture firm in Austin, Texas. They have two boys. Andrew is a junior and plays college baseball in Atlanta, Georgia where he is majoring in accounting. Steven is a junior in high school in Austin, Texas. He runs cross country and track and plays competitive golf. They have a sweet chocolate lab named Cal. Her hobbies are reading and exercising.
