Mrs. Monica Rath

Monica Rath joined the Wharton Independent School district in 1995. In the last 27 years, she has taught elementary ELAR and Science, served as an assistant principal, associate principal, dean of instruction, director of the student service and federal programs, and interim principal throughout Wharton Independent School District.  

Mrs. Rath grew up in Houston and attended school in the Spring Branch Independent School District, graduating from Stratford High School.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston-Victoria in Elementary Education with a specialization in reading and earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2010.

Mrs. Rath has been married for 36 years and has two daughters who graduated from Wharton High School at Texas A&M University.  She is committed to the success of every student.  She believes in a collaborative school environment as the key to creating a successful learning environment.
