Community service is performed by AFJROTC Cadets for the benefit of the public or its non profit institutions. All AFJROTC Cadets are required to perform a minimum of 10 hours of AFJROTC-sponsored community service per semester (but may do more). Cadets will receive community service hours for participation in AFJROTC-sponsored events including (but not limited to):
- Adopt-a-Highway
- Wharton Cemetary Historic Fence Restoration Project
- Campus Cleanups
- Annual Wharton Christmas Parade
- Veterans Day Events
- Wings Over Houston Airshow
- Wharton Chamber of Commerce Annual Wine and Arts Fair
- S.P.O.T.
- Color Guard Events
Active participation in AFJROTC-sponsored community service events is required for promotion consideration.
