Hi there!  My name is Alanna Huggins and I am the Music Teacher here at Wharton Elementary.  This is my 6th year at WES, but I've taught in Wharton for 19 years.  Altogether, I'm in my 25th year of teaching!  Also, I am an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association.

I have two daughters, Hannah and Leah, that have attended Wharton ISD schools.  Hannah is now at Wharton County Jr. College studying Art.  Leah is at Sam Houston State University studying Animal Science in college.

My philosophy is for all students to leave my class with a life long love and appreciation of music.  We have four programs throughout the school year...Veterans Day, Christmas, Spring, and a Talent Show.

I am also the coach for UIL Music Memory.
